Default Speaker size question...D-max

Just picked up an 03 Duramax crew cab. I was wondering what size both the front and rear door speakers are?

They are 4x6 in an extended cab, but I don't think in the crew cab.

well i think they call them 'oversized 6.5', but any fit guide is going to tell you 6.5

Sorry for the hijack, but since your on the subject.

If I ever get back into enjoying a nice system over the sound of a cam'd v8 i was considering boring the holes out and putting 8"s in. Anyone do that?

I've seen 8's in the doors, along with a 6.5 and a tweeter, but they had to make a custom mount for them. The problem with fitting an 8" in the door is going to be the depth

i agree...but if you're gonna be spending the money just build like a 1 - 3 inch f/g mounting panel you should have no problem if you did that
