i have a 04 silverado and the stock unit cd tape player and i have a kicker zx200x2 and a jl W3 12 inch and it dont hit at all i have heard systems that hit a thousand times harder with less than what i have? what can i do to make it louder?

 

what type of enclosure.

 

the stock deck makes a big difference too, so does enclosure type, wiring, tuning, air in the cab etc.

 

its a truck box and a cap and 4gauge wire

 

is the box ported or sealed

Mine doesnt hit hard unless the windows are down and mine is sealed.
sealed boxes will keep up with fast beats and hit clean, and ported will shake the ground more. but we dont have alot of room for ported boxes they need to be big

Did you do a line level conversion for the amp? and do you have it bridged?

 

ya if you roll your windows down it will help..if you listen to rap then you should prolly get a ported box for all the bass in rap. but if you listen to rock then you should stick with your sealed box.
