Sucks the speedo only goes up to 85, my 78 is the same lol SixSpeedSS 04-11-2008, 09:03 PM My 454SS has gone 147mph on GPS. I did it once & only once. It has been to 125mph many times (GPS). It is like night/day (the 22mph difference). At 147 it feels like the cab is peeling apart. Tons of wind noise, but still rather stable. Of course it [the truck] has been heavily modified to do so. One day, I have no idea when, I hope to do a complete frame off rebuild. Just wish I knew how fast I was actually going...? I plan to put a tach in at some point down the road as well, but I know just by listening to the motor and exhaust that the rpm's were up there. I'd rather twist a drive shaft instead of sending the rpm's through the roof. I know, though, that I wasn't going 85.
