Default Rear Brakes warped

I recently had a lot of shuddering as i was slowing so i figured the fronts must have been warped. I replaced the rotors and pads and its still happening.

I just did the rear brakes about 6 months/ 12k miles ago.
My friend told me NBS rear discs suck and thats why gm went back to drums.
anyone come up with a good solution for this?

GM went back to rear drums? Yuck! What kind of pads & rotors are you using? The only problem I had with nearly 100K on my old '02 Yukon was a caliper siezing. That resulted in premature brake wear. Replaced two calipers, two rotors, and a set of rear pads. Like I said... with nearly 100K on the Yukon.

I changed my warped/cracked rotors on the Silvy with Brembo blanks and haven't had another problem. I need to do the same with my Tahoe as I have a few warped rotors on it.

make sure you torque each lug nut individually when it goes back together....if some lug nuts are tighter than others, since the wheel holds the rotor on, it will cause the rotor to turn unevenly through the caliper so it wears unevenly causing the shudder.....just a thought.

too much road debris was causing premature wearring down of the brakes. the rear disc brakes go before the front brakes do because of this. i think this is why they went back to drums.

i have pics to prove the rear brakes failed 1st.

I just put new pads on the rear and had the rotors turned for the 1st time. They had about 220k miles on them. The front rotors on the otherhand have been replaced 3 times because of warping.
