CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I kinda impluse bought my house 4 years ago. Honestly it is one of better investments you can make. I can sell it for a 20k profit the way it sits. But if you think mod a vehicle is an adiction, wait till you start modding a house!!!! I know I went kinda nuts, freaking faux blinds, crown molding, chair railing, custom paint, freaking landscaped it 3 times, tress out the butt, jacuzzi tub , etc.... Oh and then you get to buy a frig, washer, dryer, lawnmower, weed eater, water hose, sprinklers, the list goes on and on.... Just be prepared and think of stuff like that.

But I can crank up my sterio as loud as I want and not a damn person can say a thing!!

I love having a house. I lived in apartments for two years while in school. Like they said, you think modding a truck is bad...there's 20 times more things you can do to a house and it's so abstract and unlimited. I just had my master bathroom and shower tiled....now I want new carpet and tile in the rest of the house...new appliances, etc etc....damn truck ate all my money though.

I made the ultimate move almost 2 years ago. From a tiny 2 bedroom apt., to my 2500+ sq. ft. house and 3 acres. Trust me, a house is the best move you could ever make. I haven't gone mod crazy per say with the house, but have completely fenced the property and built a 1600 Sq. Ft. horse barn. I'm sure I could sell it for at least 40-50 K more than I paid for it now......Tempting.

Congrats and enjoy it, there's nothing like home and property ownership.

Cost of living in Ca is crazy!!! Unless you want to live in the outskirts, the boonies, or the ghetto, but even then it's more expensive than most of the US.

Congrats! It is awesome to be just 23 and buying your first home. I bought my 1st home at 23 and sold it 7 years later and doubled my money. Bought 2 houses since then (Home and rental house)
