I have 2 pieces of travertine tile to cut and I don't want to have to spend more money on getting the stuff cut than what the tile cost. So, any good ideas on something I may already have (or can get cheap) that I can cut these with?

 

dremel should do it. There's a bit for tile.

Just rent a wet saw from home depot. Other than than get an abrasive blade for a skill saw or mitor saw. Just don't try and cut it really fast..

 

A dremel with a criss cross carbide bit works great on ceramic and other types of tile.

 

I thought about these. Kind of a last resort though cause I only have 2 pieces to cut so I don't want to spend that much money for something to use for like 2 minute...

Well can't find my stinking dremel either... guess I'll go look at buying a new one. At least I can use it for other things later.

 

Take them to home depot they will cut them at no charge.

 

Thanks guys. I found a cheap diamond blade at wal-mart and got them cut.
