Finally got a good little truck to run parts/drive to work everyday/get some decent gas mileage/ and generally leave it mostly stock mostly............I think :usa:...........lol
Of course buying it at Invoice and $2500 cash back helped with the decision as well.
Ended my search with a 2008 Nissan Frontier, Xtra Cab, V6/5sp Auto with one option; the "value package" which adds power windows & door locks. It's a pretty basic no nonsense truck but overall a good value IMO.

lol, you never know............but.............I have to research this engine a little bit, I know its a great motor, just not sure how stout these things are built, although, the 350Z crowd seem to really like modding them.....

If this thing has the super-holy-hell-overly-aggressive-drive-by-wire that the '06 Pathfinder I rented did, it will be fun to drive anyway ;)

I just did some building on Nissan's and GMC's sites and you can get a higher optioned truck with a 6 speed manual in the Frontier and only a 5 speed manual in a Canyon at a mid grade level. After that, automatic only. If I was in the market i'd probably go with the Frontier as well.
I'd like to sell all my toys and get a little gas mileage commuter and a C5 or C6 again.

it has a very snappy throttle even though it's only rated for 261HP 281TQ

I am very happy I got as much truck as I did for the money. From what I'm told the Nissan V6 is a very nice motor.
I went into the dealership wanting a stick, however, after test driving both, the Auto felt quicker, even though it probably aint; since this will be my commuter and sitting in traffic everyday truck I opted for the Auto.
