I just got the screen arm, do you think the extra support brace is needed? where does it connect?

I don't think it is needed, but it does help from rocking, but that realy depends on how you moint it. I have mine going from the mount to the bottom frame support thingy under my cup holder. It doesn't give it the best leverage but at the time I got it I wasn't sure I wanted to drill holes and mount it on the passanger side floor board.

It was in the truck when you came up to drive it wasn't it? I might have takin it out though, of course that was a while ago....

Don't remember, way to many Beers ago,
the one I got mounts to the two front seat bolts, no drilling required.

Right as does mine, but there is a extra support that clamps on the stand. It has a telescoping tube and a chunk of angle iron that you need to mount somewhere. I did not want to drill holes so I used existing holes under my cup holders...
