SLP Thermostat, pt#100229 160 Degree 2007 4.8/5.3/6.0/6.2 Silverado/Sierra/SUV 900 Series
SLP offers this 160º thermostat for 2007 4.8/5.3/6.0/6.2 Silverado/Sierra/SUV 900 Series and 2007 Trailblazer SS. These low-temp thermostats dramatically reduce operating temperatures, while increasing thermal efficiency and your engine's performance in the process. Racers know that a cooler running engine is a better performing engine. This new thermostat replaces the factory unit, allowing coolant to circulate at lower engine temperatures, keeping the engine cooler.
NOTE: Not legal for use on pollution controlled vehicles.
Asking $30 shipped
I also have a stock 187 degree thermostat for the same water pump with ~10mins run time on it.
Asking $25 shipped obo

To all...
I have the HP 160 stat and did a system flush to Dex Cool. Zzebes, he really did all the work... truely appreciated. I was in a bind...
Anyway, getting back to the stat, it was a good mod. I'd say that I have 3k mi on the truck since then and no probs or leaks. This would be a sound investment.
