Default Whats the Good & Bad about the TBSS?

Wife is interested in getting a TBSS, what are the good and bad with these vehicles? I don't know much about them so your help would be appreciated. Also thinking the rear wheel drive would be better than the AWD, what do you think?

Good:

-AWD, in normal traffic, wet roads, sand and the occasional launch at full power, you can not beat AWD.
-It's a very nice riding SUV for having high performance.
-It's fairly quick stock but really quick with a good tune.
-Is very comfortable (the leather is at least) with lots of leg room. Much better than my wife's 4 Runner.

BAD:
Terrible mileage.
4 Speed Auto needs to go.
Shitty Bose amplified speaker system. (The only thing it has good is decent at best bass response)
Crappy nav unit that won't navigate while you listen to a CD...and the player does not play multimedia/MP3/WMV/DVD, etc...
The front seats have a little too much lumbar support, but it's adjustable, as long as you only want even more lumbar support.
Handling could be a little flatter and it has a little more nose dive in braking than I like.
Mid Range quality workmanship in build is not the best, but mine came out pretty nice.

I would recommend AWD over 2WD if you really like driving quick in traffic. You can generally floor it in any weather and hookup and go. With 2WD you spin out in corners and spin on launch, making you slower in traffic.

But...on the strip, the 2WD has a weight and friction advantage worth a few tenths (if it can hook up).

Good - It starts off where I was with my Avalanche after a Radix, sway bars, upgraded springs, etc. Excellent stock power and stock suspension. Could only get better with mods (I left mine stock since it is a lease).

Bad - God-awful shitty mileage (14 mpg on a good day), lots of wind noise, small (for a guy my size), small back seat, overall poorer fit and finish over the full-size equivalents (Tahoe, Avalanche, etc.).

The worst part about this vehicle is the transmission. It is 2007 (almost 2008) for crying out loud - get a 6-speed or at least a 5-speed transmission in this pig!!! Part of the reason for the awful mileage is only four speeds and so you're pulling 2700 RPM @ 80mph.

Regarding RWD vs. AWD, I'll take burnouts any day of the week over traction. Steering with your right foot is the shizznit.

Good luck with your decision.

Mine deosn't have any wind noise until over 130...try that with your Avalanche.

Oh, and I have steered plenty of 360's in my RWD vette, AWD is where real street fun starts.

ours just made a trip from west ky to northern va and got 16.8 mpg running at 75-80. i dont think thats too bad and it will still out run most of the things on the road. the only other suv i would get would be a loaded z71 tahoe but then its no where near as fun to drive as the tbss. I am 6'5" and it has plenty of room for me on long trips.
