Brought home another new ride
#1
Last night. She's only 1 HorsePower but LOADS of Torque.
Yes, she's a Clydesdale. Brought her home for a few weeks to see if I want to buy her. Its a friends that doesn't have time to train her any further. She just needs to be saddle broke--which should be easy enough. But that is a long drop if I'm wrong.

Excuse the shitty camera phone pic

She is huge, about 18 hands high. I'm 6'-3" and her back is just slightly shorter than me, when she stands up tall, he head is probably at least 17-18'.
Trevor. Ridden Clydes aren't as common--obviously, but is becoming much more popular, as with all draft horses. Its actually very common across the pond for the English. I had always wanted a draft horse to ride--was really looking for a Percheron or Belgian, but I won't complain about a Clydesdale--especially not for the price. The drafts are a lot more lazy under saddle than most horse breeds, they get in no hurry. I just want a horse to cruise along with. Both of our other horse's are my fiance's and I can't/don't ride them, one's too small and the other is just out of my leaque experience wise. LOL.
the other 2, one's a Bay Quarterhorse about 5 years old, and the other is a 20+ year old Paint-brood mare, nothing special, but she's comes from excellent lineage. All three are mare's.

Awesome. Great looking horses. I had no idea you rode.
Oh, and do I need a Clydesdale? No, but man its an attention getter. We'll see how she rides, cause thats my main purpose, I want to get one to ride that way Heather and I can haul them down to the arena's or beach or ride them down the local trails and such.

Nah, we pull the horses with the 06 Z71. Its a 1500 ECSB 5.3 HO. It squats a lil bit, I'm probably going to add some helpers in the back, but it pulls it fine.
But I most likely will be looking to get her a 3/4 ton truck soon. LOL.
