My s-10 WAS fun. I always got a kick out of passengers when i'd turn it up a bit. My buddy was getting a sip of coke and mid chug i turned it up. He got this oshit look on his face so i turn it down and after about 3 secs he's like. DUDE I COUDN'T F'N SWOLLOW.
I thought it was amusing haha.

yea that hummer was insane... i used to compete in IASCA... went to nationals a couple of times with the same car back in the 90's... but this hummer was insane...

my loudest car was a nissan hardbody back in 1990 and I had a cerwin vega L36 (folded horn speaker inclosure with an 18" dual voice coil monter in it) i had hifonics Zeus am with 2000 watts going to one sub and it was a long throw woofer... it sound best from 16 feet away and beyond... my friends could hear me coming for blocks...

I used to bounce quarters off my truck snugtop at least 5 inches in the air... popped out the side windows all the time during shows, but the hummer had 6 15"s in it and the entire area behind the back seat was one big speaker. He said it hit 160db..but it was tuned for 35hz...

anyone remember the grand national back in the day that only had 6 speakers in it? It won tons of shows in the early 90's... anyone?

 

160dbs seems kinda weak sauce for 20k watts. But it's all in the speaker placement as well.
My s-10 hit 170.9 in port wars. 153.7 on dash. This was 4 x 12's and a single cheater amp. rated at 200watts but pushed closer to 800 at 4 ohms and was one ohm stable.

I competed early 2000 like 2000-2001.
They had one car a old prelude i think with 10x12's in it all memphis system. 10 memphis amps one for each sub.
It hit 165.5 every single burp on the dash. Car was pretty cool.
