Default HELP!! Can't get my Nelson harness to work. It's eating relays!

Bought a set of new (take-off) 2005-up efans from G and R. I installed it, following the instructions, by tapping onto the green wire with the provided T-tap, used the relays provided, ran the wire to pin 42 on the PCM, had it activated with my Wester's tune, and used my efans without an issue for a month to a month and a half. I had Butch set it to where anytime the a/c is on, the passenger side fan comes on high. Then it started eating the passenger side fan relay. I tightened down the ground that was loose, thinking that it was the culprit. Installed new relay from autozone. It worked for a day or so and then fried it. I deleted the t-tap and soldered the wire. Installed a new relay from Autozone, and the fans still come on and off, on and off (and a/c sucks now too). I got fed up and paid $20 for 3 relays from Nelson figuring maybe theirs were special. Cleaned the sockets with contact cleaner and installed one of Nelson's relays. This time it didn't even work for a little while at all. It immediately started the repeated on/off/on/off thing. What's the deal????

My first impulse is that I tied onto the wrong green wire on the harness, but according to the instructions, the fans won't even work if you tie onto the wrong wire. What the crap???

Also, a few days ago, it did something it's never done before. When I shut the truck off, the a/c fan stayed on, on the low setting, even after everything was off. I turned the truck on, off again, and the fan was still on. I pulled the relay which promptly killed the fans. Plugged it back in and the fan didn't come back on. It hasn't done that since.

Oh, and I tied onto the darker of the two green wires.

Are you using 30 or 40 amp relays? Mine would eat 30 amp relays all day long. I had to switch to 40.

30s, just like it came with. Any particular brand you've found that works well?

The only place that I found 40 amp relays was Napa. I didn't go with a specific brand.

I don't remember how much they were, but I'm sure they weren't cheap.
