Default 99 - up front door replacement speakers

So on the way to work today, I blew out one front door speaker, and maybe a rear, anyone know anything about these brand/type speakers? I was wanting to keep it in the $100 dollar range for the fronts

Ive Used Infiniti Reference Series Speakers... Its There Less Expensive Brand Rather Than The High Line Kappa Series..... Which I Dont See A "major" Difference Anyways.... Definitely Liked Them... And The Price Was Pretty Good For What You Got...

Of those choices I would get the Infinities (will probably need an amp tho) Component speakers should always be better than full rangers (but you will also need an amp for quality sound out of them). If you just want to run something off of a head unit you will prabably be better off with some full range speakers. Check around on prices too cause I always thought crutchfield seems to have some really high prices on their stuff.

I have last years version of these...http://cgi.ebay.com/ALPINE-SPR-17S-6...QQcmdZViewItem
I think they sound great, I am powering them with an alpine amp.

thanks for the opinions, I was using their site for a reference . . . I'll start shopping around. They'll be running off the stock head unit for now, no amps . . . .

I got some JBL touring speakers in my front and back along with a deh p6800 pioneer head unit and they sound VERY clear and crisp....not much of a bass speaker tho...need a woofer to go along with them.

Does the whole door panel have to come off or does the grill pop off itself? When I'm looking at it, it looks like I have to take off the entire panel. I just brought my truck home yesterday, and I have to get the stock out of their quickly.

nevermind...figured it out and already replaced. Sounds good!
