I am trying to find out what kind of milage the new yukon denali's/serrias/caddys get with the 6.2 and 6speed and awd. its the end of the year and there are alot of left over 07's and the only thing i have heard so far is local driving which is 13-14.5. I would like to know what kind of milage it gets on the highway and so on. if it dont get any better than 15 on the highway a loaded tahoe would be a better deal because i know they get 20+ on the highway.

My 2wd get's the following....
21mpg@65mph
20mpg@70mph
19mpg@75mph
18mpg@80mph... I'm only turning 1,950rpm@80mph
When I 1st got her I had to back off to 65mph to get the advertised 20mpg that was on the sticker...Things got a little better after she broke in, then I got a tune and Outlaw intake...I think the tune is what helped a lil bit. City mpg all depends on how heavy your foot is ...I average 12-14mpg around town... I like to zip around at a good pace though.. If I lock the cruise in @ 50 she gets like 24-25mpg. She has a pretty mean 2nd overdrive (6th) and 5th is nice for towing...

thats better than what i was expecting. but then again the suv and awd might take away a few more mpg. My dad is looking for a new suv and its between a tahoe and yukon both have to be 4wd. i think the tahoe might be best for him.

Yea, I'm sure 2wd is going get better gas milage, less loss in the drivetrain and less weight....GM says I weigh 5250...I dunno about truck is pretty big, gonna find the scales when I go race @ HRP...

I have a hybrid, no not that kind, and get about 16 overall right now. The engine has less than 1000 miles on it right now so I am hoping it will go up as it breaks in. I am getting about 13 towing which is surprisingly high. I am sure I could get better if I kept my foot out of it and had 3.42 gears: I am spinning 2000 rpm at 72 mph.
My truck weighs about 4600 pounds.

I was thinking about moving to 3.73's but then again the 1st coule tranny gear are steep compared to the ol 4sp.1st gear seems like it's over so quick... takes me up to 39-40mph under WOT shifting @ 6,000rpm...
My 3.42's are like 4.56's in a 4spd if you look at the overall gearing for 1st gear....

Wow...this is the 1st time hearing of a L92/6L80 in a RC....how was the swap? Have to convert a bunch of stuff? I bet she really scoots...

I had to keep my original ECM to run a couple of the gauges. My ABS doesn't work since the computers don't talk the same language but I don't really care about that right now. I am having an issue with the TCU losing memory when I shut off the key. Still working on figuring that one out but oveall it wasn't too bad.

The swap was fairly straight forward. Of course the engine bolted right up (had to use the original motor mounts because the 07's are a couple inches taller) the transmission also fit like it was supposed to be there and even bolted up to the original transmission mount holes. The rear driveshaft was perfect but I had to get the front driveshaft shortened 1 inch. I converted to the AWD transfer case which may be the reason the front shaft needed shortened. I would have liked to stick with the Autotrac box but the input shaft needs to be upgraded to the 80 series style so that may be for another day. And yes it will fly. The 3.73's make first gear go by pretty quick (about 35 mph spinning just over 6k), second gear will reach 60, third 90 and fourth should be good for just over 120 but I don't think I will be trying to prove that anytime soon.

Sweet project man plus your AWD, I'm so jealous! I would love to put this tranny and engine combo in a GMC Canyon and re-badge to read GMC Cannon...lol! I really like this motor it just seems to get stronger and stronger everyday as it breaks in, I only have 5,000 miles....My 1-2 happens @ 40, 2-3 @ 66 and the 3-4 is just pass 100mph. I finish the 1/4 @ 98-99mph or right at 5,700rpm which is peak Hp.....

I haven't been to the track yet but hope to get there in the next couple of weeks. My truck doesn't really feel like it has full power until it gets into third gear, then it really starts to fly!
