Default A/C problem need some advice.

Last night I turned on my A/C and It blew hot air on the drivers side even if i moved the lever to cold or hot. But the passenger side blew cold with the A/C. What's going on are my A/C controls going bad. It did this once before and I restarted the truck and it worked fine after that not working for me. Any ideals?

A friend of mine had the same problem. Took it in under warranty and they replaced one of the acuators in the HVAC unit.

I don't know if this will help, but I had a 96 LT1, and had the same type of thing happen. Turns out, there was a vacuum operated switch that one of the ports broke off. When that happened, I had no control over fan speed or temp.

I think with the newer cars, that vacuum switch will be electronic. If thats the case, then I just wasted your time. Grab a chiltons/haynes manual and follow the wiring diagrams for the AC system.

Other than that, I got nothing. Good Luck
