Isn't the tractor outgunned a lot on power? If so, that was impressive for the tractor.

 

I think it was set-up.....I think the guy in the background was telling the tractor operator to let the tank pull him. I mean, you got army guys in uniform watching and they don't want to see the tractor win. It's hard to tell who the guy in the background is signaling to.....the tractor or the tank.

setup? LOL That would be pretty weak if they would bring out the tank and tractor then just have it setup.

One thing is the tractor could at least be spinning while being drug...don't think those tracks grab that good.

 

While the tractor may have less power it is geared much better then the tank since the tank is designed to run 30+mph and the tractor will probably never get out of the single digits.

To me it looked like the tractor was in too high of a gear since he wasnt spinning the whole time, I have seen tractors like that but with dual tires instead of tracks spin badly out in the cotton fields west of San Antonio thus I figured the tractor would have done a bit better.

 

That tractor will go at least 25mph..............city boy.

 

i know the tractor is heavy but shouldnt the tank out weight it by alot and i wonder which has more track contact area ?

My family is from Abilene where there is cotton fields as far as the eye can see, and we have some tractors just like the one posted but MUCH older and with dual tires at the end of each axle. Im not a newb to tractors
