Default 4l65e input shaft o-ring size.

Does any body know what size the o-ring is on the input shaft of a 4l65e? I went to napa and they had a 021 and that looks like it's the one but they didn't have a 020 to compare and I don't wanna find out the hard way that its the wrong size. The dealer don't have any in stock ad they only have part#'s not sizes.

I would make sure to install the correct oring not just one that looks like it will work. The rubber compound of all o-rings are not the same and different compounds are used for different applications. Basically the heat from the converter is the issue here. If you need an oring I would stop by a local trans shop, they will probably have one laying around. If not shoot me a pm with you address and then give me a call on Monday to remind me to drop it in the mail. Vince

Good to hear that you are going to install the correct oring. Just curious. Why has the trans out and why do you need to replace the oring? Vince

I sprung a rear main seal leak and I looked at the o-ring and it has a few nicks in is so I better replace it while its out and easy, thats why i'm doing the rear main now cause I ws too stupid to do it before it leaked when everything was out.
