Default Susp. Help ???

I have decided that I will be lowering my NNSB 07 to level out the rear. Will be using the 2" shackles and removing the 1" block from the rear. I have been told that the stock u-bolt on the NNBS would still work with the blocks removed, but I'd like to be safe than sorry. I wanted to see if anyone could get me some dimensions on a set of the stock rear axle/leaf spring u-bolts from a 99-07 classic truck. I believe they are the same size, just about 1" shorter than the ones coming stock on the NNBS trucks.

have you thought about putting the block on top the axle and reusing the stock u-bolts? i've done this before and it works great. this way you won't have to buy some new 2wd u-bolts.

Hadn't thought about that, but it sounds like a great idea Lance. I'll have to look into that and see.
