Default 1/4 Mile Redution from gear swap

What kind of gains should i see from switching from the 3.73's to 4.10's in the 1/4? Will my MPH be lower?

Thanks

On what diameter tires, I assume a 4L60e? What are you currently trapping? what are your 60's? ....understand? Nobody can answer that question without seeing at least a few time slips and knowing where you cross the traps. Generally yur 60's will dop if traction doesn't become impossible.

you wont gain mph but going from 3.42 you should see 4/10's from 3.73 to 4.10's its just one of those try and see, some see better times some see slower times. good luck

Ok well, before my 33" tires i was running the 30.1" diameter tires. Before the 33"s, i ran 15.50 at 89mph. my 60' was like 2.3 and my 1/8 was around 10.00. my mods at the time were intake , exhaust with a 3" cutout after the y pipe, and a tune. Since then the only thing ive done is a 3" lift, 33's, and the 4.10's. i noticed a subtle change in acceleration after i swapped them with the 33's but i was wondering how much more there is to gain if i slapped some stockers back on. I just dont even know if its worth it, i mean dam, its a slow *** 15 second truck lol.

you will gain mph if the combo is in need of gear.. the higher gear will put you in a better operating range on the cam where its making more power.

more power= more mph

so instead of trapping at 5800rpms at 102 mph
now trap at 6300 rpms and be around 104mph

now this works with aid of power range. i noticed this first hand. i gained roughly 2mph, since it put me in my power range better
