if I were to upgrade all my 3157 bulbs (brake lights, all turn signals + DTR lights, backup lights) will I need to install "resistors" for each bulb? I know my brother had a problem when he bought a pair of LED's, he couldn't start his truck and had to pay $100 at the Ford dealership for some kind of code to "fix" it. would I have the same problem, or is it a simple install? are LED's worth the trouble/ money? thanks

 

IF they are the right bulbs for 12v, then no you shouldnt have a probelm..

I just put LEDs in my Interior and all of them have Resistors built in..

 

You can always install them and try an electronic flasher. If they still don't flash then you need the Resistors.

Most are polarity sensitive so make sure to install them the correct way.
