Spoolin 07-24-2007, 09:56 PM ...Looks like that may be trouble down the road :judge: Until they can build better pistons...I'm not worried. Until then looks like I'm safe! Cool prove to be fun though! 99Silverado5.3 07-24-2007, 10:25 PM Until they can build better pistons...I'm not worried. Until then looks like I'm safe! Cool prove to be fun though! Once I get a built tranny, I will not be worried either...til then will be sweatin the 60. silver-mod-o 07-25-2007, 07:04 AM Once I get a built tranny, I will not be worried either...til then will be sweatin the 60. after driving a stock titan, they are definitely strong trucks... and dumping over 100/100 on top of the pretty good grunt they already have out of the box, there may be some impressive numbers put down if they can ever get into the far corners of that PCM like we can. Besides we all know what centrifugal blowers are good for.... (putting a wet shot on  ) Spoolin 07-25-2007, 11:42 AM ...the pretty good grunt they already have out of the box... I heard down low the PCM only allows the TB to open like 40 % until your past 40mph. That's a bitch to overcome. I don't know how much they can and can't tune out of their programing though, and I've never driven one yet so if you say they are a beast down low I'd love to see what they could do without the other 60%! silver-mod-o 07-25-2007, 11:55 AM its nothing to make you grab the "oh-shit-bar" but its not bad at all for a stock PIG of a truck... Snacktime 07-25-2007, 08:12 PM They have tunning and are running low 14's with bolt-ons. I have yet to see a track time of a stillen charged titan but I see a 12sec titan comming... 99Silverado5.3 07-26-2007, 01:18 AM Besides we all know what centrifugal blowers are good for.... (putting a wet shot on  ) Great minds think alike my friend. pssonu 08-04-2007, 05:50 PM after driving a stock titan, they are definitely strong trucks... and dumping over 100/100 on top of the pretty good grunt they already have out of the box, there may be some impressive numbers put down if they can ever get into the far corners of that PCM like we can. (putting a wet shot on  ) http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=290843 Seems like it makes good power, ranging from 377-417rwhp and 424-449ftlb ot torque. Pretty impressive I would say. Snacktime 08-05-2007, 10:56 PM He took it to the track, another no traction titan! 99Silverado5.3 08-05-2007, 11:26 PM He took it to the track, another no traction titan! What he end up running? Snacktime 08-06-2007, 08:10 PM http://www.titantalk.com/forums/titan-performance-modifications/60801-my-one-tire-fire-1-4-mile-night.html here's the link nightrunner 08-06-2007, 08:11 PM gotta be a member RB's Titan 08-15-2007, 10:39 PM He ran a 14.4 at 99 with 2.4 60ft. He says he has video of the runs where he says he's sitting next to C5 vette that trapped 105. Hey guys just so you know I've added a LS7 vette TB to my truck....DBW is not a thing of the past. The truck needed a translator English to Japanese but she will lay rubber pretty easily and she runs 14.63 at 94 NA with it and a stock ECU. QShip 09-02-2007, 02:43 PM Traction is a major problem with these trucks. If you boost a Titan, you will need DRs to run on the track. Hey RB, I tried to do a 0 - 60 run after putting on some new tires and it wouldn't hook up. The truck spun and I let up and then it spun again. MorepowerTY 09-03-2007, 07:51 AM I was at the track with a couple of Titans when I was running mid to low 14's. I was doing the same thing until I heated up the tires a bit, then I got some good traction. I told one of my buddies in a Titan to do the same thing, and he started to hook up better. He was running a 15.5 before heating up the tires, and then a 15.2 (with bolt-ons)after, so it does help. Just keep the out of the water box and you'll be fine. QShip 09-03-2007, 10:02 AM Thank you!! DarkblueTA 09-03-2007, 01:01 PM Here is the guys post FYI.... "well went out to the track tonight to try to see what happened. i still have an open diff so that is half the problem. the truck hauls *** on the street but i just smoked the hell out of the tires at the track. i only got two runs. i have some 20s on the truck with some 315 michelins on them. they hook decent on the street. only two runs in, one was 14.7 at 99 and one was 14.4 at 98.5. both runs i had to let off the gas twice in first gear and just let the truck stop spinning. i had a crappy 2.67 and 2.4 60 foot times. booo!!!! for the open diff.. i am used to running 10 second cars on 28 inch slicks so its hard to baby it. now the weird thing and this is the only time its happened to me ever is that the truck would NOT shift into 4th gear at the track. it would just stay in 3rd about 100 feet short of the traps. it would not do anything else. i think i am going to just enjoy this truck and not turn it into an obsession with speed like my other couple cars have become. it all starts like this. now i have a fully caged drag 350z and a no AC , no powersteering twin turbo G35 that are barely even street legal..." Stampede4ever 09-12-2007, 08:49 AM Have any pics of the Z and 35? Thanks. |
