Hey Pappy,

They can't get your email from the site, but they may have sent you a message from inside the site (using the email member thing). You can disable access for members in the User CP.

If you want, drop me a PM for my email and forward the message to me -- I'll take a look at the message to see what I can see from the hidden info.

Nope, they can't get your email from the site unless you email them first.

Could just be a "spam" email from them to everyone in their address book. Maybe some other performance store you've emailed in the past sells the emails to a advertising agency or something. There are other ways your email could've ended up with them also.

I don't know if they are a sponsor on Tech or not but, will check.

**edit** Doesn't look like they are sponsors on Tech.

i find it kind of odd that a turbo performance place will send out spam.
but i do buy the fact that some place i did business with sold my address
to them.

I only call it spam because it's probably sent to all the email address' they have. It really doesn't cost them anything and if they get some business from it it's good for them. Lots of companies do it.
