I Have A 2003 F350 Qcsb I Just Got... This Is My Second 2003 6.0
This One I Do Not Have "major" Plans For.... Its Gonna Just Be A Fun Tow Rig...
For Now I Wanna Put A 4" Exhaust On It.... It Is Completely Stock.
Will I Have To Tune It With An Exhaust?? Also I Heard The Stock Airbox/filter Are Awesome And Shouldnt Go Aftermarket...
Can Anyone In Here Please Advise On This. The Exhaust I Was Looking At Was Either Gibson Or Bullydog.... Woud I See Decent Gains If I Keep The Cat Inline??

I would go with an MBRP exhaust system. BullyDog's systems arent the greatest fit, especially if you have a high tongue load. The stock intake on these trucks flows pretty well, but the filter sucks. It allows a pretty good amount of dust to get into your engine, which has lead to alot of 6.0L failures..

well I have a SS409 magnaflow 4" turbo back that i picked up off of ebay for $350 and it sounds great and the egt's stay below 500 with towing a 10klb trailer. I also dropped in a airaid filter and i could tell a difference on the stock tune.

you can always "stack" chips on it.

when they "chip" a dodge, they can also stack more than one programmer on another. I've never seen this in person, but I've read about it more than once.

When you stack a chip or box, usually you are running a hard box (which mounts under the hood) with a downloader. Basically all the hard chip or box is doing is piggybacking the ECM and modifying signals, so when you change the programming in the ECM, the hard bow will modify it even further for increased power..

Nope... The beauty of a diesel- just stick some exhaust, intake and a chip on it and you got 400hp with no worries

there is a company in colorado that makes custom tunes for a SCT hand held programer that is suppose to be pretty aswome. that with the exhaust and a drop in filter it should pick up probably close to 150hp. its fun when you can do a 4wd launch at 30psi:jest:
