Default Wheel hop with 3/5 drop

I was just curious if everyone else has wheel hop issues with nbs trucks after doing lowering the rear of the truck with a flip kit. I was trying to powerbrake my truck tonight and it felt like it didnt want to then when the tires started to break loose it wanted to wheel hop real bad. I put a 3/5 drop kit on my truck probably three months ago and before the drop it didnt wheel hop when I powerbraked it. I hadn't tried to powerbrake it since I lowered it until tonight and it wanted to wheel hop. I was just wondering if this is a common thing with flip kits on a nbs truck or could I have possibly done something wrong when I originally lowered the truck? Any input would be appreciated greatly.

Take a look at the rear pass side lower shock mount. Mine kept loosening up and eventually breaking the shock bracket. When it was loose there was excessive wheel hop. The solution, 4 bar with bags. Never had wheel hop again even with the procharger.

How did you drop the rear? Did you remove the helper springs?

check your pinion angle too - mine got a little out of whack when i put a flip kit drop on my truck. shimmed it up and the hop went away.

What kind of pinion angle should it be around? I considered checking that, but I wasn't sure. I lowered the rear of the truck using a flip kit, 1" lifting shackle, and shock extenders.

Flip kit is what I used originally on my 4/6 drop and that shock extender on pass side was the problem, that and the extreme angle of the shocks. The kit was a DJM which IMO was junk, threw the DJM front lower A arms away too when I went with airride.

Yesterday I got to thinking about the wheel hop issue and I thought it might of been the shock extender too. I remembered powerbraking the truck before the I put the shock extender on and it was fine, now it wants to wheel hop. Thanks for the info.
