Default do shocks make THAT much difference off the line?

heres my delima...im spinnin tires that i shouldnt be able to spin.

26" M/T et streets spin pretty good. tried all kinds of pressures.

28" hoosiers spun the dog crap outa them. on the same pressure that matt was dead hooking on.

its not like im running insane 60' times. 1.87 is my best where it runs 1.88 9/10 times. same suspension setup as everyone else hooks on...shackle hanger combo. im on good shocks but maybe they just arent right for my truck. im on doetsch tech drop shocks which are a great shock. will shocks fix my issue or do i need to look somewhere else?

what RPM are you leaving at? what psi are you using? just cause your boys setup works for him doesnt mean it will work for you. different tires like different psi and heat cycles

Track prep has alot to do with it too. At one track I might hook very well, then someplace else it blows the 28x11 e.t. streets right off

tried all kinds of pressures. track prep isnt the issue because ap will cut 1.67's next to me spinnin all night. i can leave at 900-2000 rpm an cut a 1.88 just about every time. i decided against a 4/6...i love where my truck sits right now

well by jumping around so much you will never learn what it takes to launch your truck.

with ET streets they liked 10psi and off idle
with the QTPs they liked 15psi and off idle

the et streets needed a huge first burnout, the QTPs liked a decent burnout every time

when i used to leave with higher rpms i would spin and only cut 1.8s leaving off idle netted me the best 60s

i know the front end will lift like a ****...i dont know how the rear end acts because ive never seen my truck launch up close. maybe ill get it on video next time out to the track to see if the rear is squating at all. the rear suspension is pretty stiff.

4.10's went in today so hopefully my pathetic 1.88 60 will get a lil better. ill hold off on new shocks until i get an up close video of my truck launching.

you are going to like the 4.10's..... I run my hoosiers @ 15# and it seems to love it.... oh and on my truck it doesnt matter what I stall it at, I have tried from just idle all the way up to like 2500rpm and it still cuts the same 60ft? weird but it is a consistant ****... hope you get it worked out stew, cant wait to see what your truck does... it has alot of potential... just by looking at your 13.0 @ 105mph..
