Bearings? Only if you broke the g-80 or have very high miles, or can't get the old races off without hurting them....

Parts you will need.........
A cover gasket,
Oil,
New pinion seal, wheel seals are a good idea, but are not really needed if you are careful,
Crush sleeve,
New pinion nut,
And a carrier shim kit, unless you get really really lucky and the non-adjustable g.m shims are perfect..

Specialty tools....
Dial indicator,
Gear paint,
And something to hold the pinion yoke..

Good luck

Specs.....

This is very, very good information. A big thanx to Wilde racing for posting that up. Everyone that works on their own vehicle should print off those specs, because it valuable as gold.
