i am about to install a cam in my truck ...i heard and seen locally that there having problems on the 07 making the cam work...the cams from the previous years fit but the problem seem to make them stay on and its not tunning problems...also i seen people make it work but nothing is said ...they say its something to do with the spraket or something like that in the timing chain that its diffrent that the old truck have the 3 holed bolt cam and the new ones are a one bolt cam...anyone heard about this or know how it could be fixed?????

VVT baby or DOD crap. For NNBS guys these features suck when working with performance.

there is no VVT on the 5.3

you have AFM to worry about, and whatever bolt problems there are. with the AFM lifters you'll need to stay under .590" lift.

franky,

just go talk to Noe at Hotrodz, he has all the parts you need to do the swap, one came out yesterday, 5.3 singlecab with a 224 cam and it worked nice. no trouble with idle even on stock tune, never turned off.
