There will be 3 classes to choose from:

LSX INDEX
LSX ALL MOTOR
LSX DRAG RADIAL

I plan on running the index class since it seems the best option for us.
The rules for the INDEX Class are listed below.

LSX INDEX SHOWDOWN
GENERAL OVERVIEW

This is an index style drag racing class designed to attract most all vehicles not fitting the All Motor or Drag Radial class rules.
Developed for any year of GM bodied car or truck using a LS style power plant.
All races are on a .500 Pro Tree and in an index format.
This will be an ALL RUN qualifying format.
Vehicles are required to be stock appearing and stock bodied.
All vehicles MUST pass NHRA/IHRA safety inspection for ET and speed.
A Sportsman ladder will determine running order based off Sunday mornings qualifying round, closest to index without exceeding.
Vehicles must be driven to staging and to scales, can be towed after scales
Vehicles are required to run GM Performance Parts Sponsor decal and GM Performance Parts LSX Shootout license plate

CLASS DESIGNATIONS/INDEXES

Following the completion of Friday and Saturday’s Time Runs and Qualifying each LSX Index Showdown driver will be required to select an Index and officially submit it to the LSX Event Coordinator prior to Sunday Mornings qualifying session. There will be a single qualifier Sunday morning to establish the ladder to be utilized in Sunday’s competition eliminations with a breakout factor in effect.

Index classes are out lined as follows:

AA/LSX 9.50
A/LSX 10.00
B/LSX 10.50
C/LSX 11.00
D/LSX 11.50
E/LSX 12.00
F/LSX 12.50
G/LSX 13.00
H/LSX 13.50
I/LSX 14.00

Each LSX Index Showdown competitor will have the option to run and compete in the NMCA’S MSD True Street category presented by Popular Hot Roding Magazine on Saturday at no additional charge. For rules and regulations pertaining to True Street please refer to the 2007 NMCA official Rule Book or log on to www.nmcadigital.com and look under Event Series, Official Rule Book.

I have a friend that will tow me with his C3

We're looking at being several trucks deep forming a convoy to head up there as well. Should be a good turnout, and they're really going to wish they had set up a truck class. :judge:

rodney, i'm gonna have to check first on an accurate # of guys who plan on going. one of them called one place and said it would be around $900 for a whole week to rent one. hell of alot better than a hotel and you can stay on the track grounds and do a whole lot of :chug: :chug: :chug:

One of the guys going with us is from right there close to that track. We're draggin the truck/trailer down there and stopping off at his place and getting his folk's RV and driving it to the track too (less than 1hr away) and when we're done, dropping it off and driving home. No need for a hotel.... plus, the party will be much better.... :judge:

Just a heads up for y'all that are going... there's going to be a black TBSS there that is absolutely sick! It's 800rwhp via a 402 on N2O. It traps 106 in the 1/8th and should be deep 10s in the 1/4. If you get chance watch him run, I've seen it and it's a beast. It was built by R.P.M. and I think it'll be parked with the rest of the RPM guys.
