New Rear End...Educate me?

OK...so some guys with too much time have been makin me nervous about my stock rr end now that I've beefed all the rest up. Since its my daily driver/hi way truck...what exctly shud I be looking for and how much will it cost me? Note, I have no intention of hitting the track regularly, but I do have a lead foot and get very aggressive from stop sign to stop sign...typically tho never drive faster than 80-85 on long hiway trips - unless I got a Statey after me!

The only thing I would be concerned with is the factory g-80 locker. Either a tru-trac or the eaton would be a good choice. Personally I like the tru-trac since there is nothing in there to ever wear out.

If you want to keep the 10-bolt I would suggest an Eaton Posi with T/A girdle and studs. On top of keeping housing flex down, the T/A cover has bolts that seat on (and preload) the carrier. That's about as good as it is going to get for a 8.6" rear. That and some heavy praying, and a not-so-heavy foot.
Regardless of what you do, just remember that your desire to have fun is going to be inversely proportional to the amount of time your rear end will last.
