I know a TB spacer on the gen 3 v8's in the gm trucks are useless. I would imagine on any MPFI vehicle they would be though and a CAI never hurt anyone.

throttle body spacers are pretty paper weights. period. get a good cold air intake and a tune. and soon dump the stoppedupmasters for a real set of mufflers.

I think the spacer gave a little gain(from what I've heard)with the old throttle-body-injection systems. Those have been gone for many years.

I think the spacer gave a little gain(from what I've heard)with the old throttle-body-injection systems. Those have been gone for many years.

They were mainly for carbureted and TBI motors to space out the carb/TBI from the intake manifold. The spacer increased the intake manifold's volume for immediate throttle response gains and improved low end torque. They do nothing for a sequential fuel injection system.

I like the paper weight idea though. it would be an expensive paper weight, but it would send a crystal clear message to the customers who see my office. :D
