My buddy has a 1995 Z71 5.7L A4.
Will a Hypertech Chip if bought at the right price, be worth anything?
Any issues or problems with them?

If you have a laptop you can get into doing your own tuning for as little as 100 bucks or so if you build your own ALDL cable. I opted to buy one and am glad I did. I got everything from Craig Moates and www.moates.net to do my own tuning and I know have around 200 invested in it. Doing your own tuning is the only way to go IMO.
