Default power question

99 rcsb .auto, 5.3,98,000 miles
k&n cold air intake that seals to a ram air hood
stainless headers
no cats, true duals w 1 chamber flows dumped
220/560 113lsa cam
ngk plugs
ported throttle body
4:10 gears
Hp tuners tuned computer

This truck just sems to get slower as i mod it, it was bone stock except for 4 10 gears and it would blow the tires off from a 30mph roll now i cant even spin them from a dead stop........should this truck be a fairly peppy truck or have a made some made mod choice combinations?

a good converter would most likely really wake it up.

I bet it just feels that way...You have moved your powerband up in the rpm range and you have no verter to take advantage of it. If I were you I would call the cam manufacturer and see what stall they reccomend. If you tuned your truck with HP tuners I would log it and post it up and see what some of the pro's around here think about it. If you have the tune I would post that as well. If you have a bad tune then all the mods in the world want help.

im with docky. your tune may need to be tweaked. a stall wouldnt hurt but, you should be pretty quick, atleast better than before with the correct tune.

I'm thinking a torque converter matched to your set-up will help, along with proper tuning and making sure that you aren't getting any KR with that 99 PCM. You might want to go up to some higher flowing 2000 and up fuel injectors too...
