Did you change the ingnition switch or the lock cylinder? I forget which one it is, but one of those has the return "spring" that kicks back the switch from start to run. It is sticks, it will keep sending power to the starter, even if the engine is running. There are slide contacts inside the switch that jump power to the starter, while jumping power to the engine to fire up. Good luck!

Even If The Cylinder Kicks Back... . Sometimes The Electric Part Of The Switch May Stick In The "start" Position... Take Off The Cylinder.... Make Sure Battery Is Disconnected.... And Turn The Switch.... See It If Catches And Sticks.....
Are You Buying Good Oe Starters.... Or Aftermarket??
