hp tuner mpvi pro data logging wont work?

Default hp tuner mpvi pro data logging wont work?

my lap top is messed up so i downloaded the program into my home pc. i been trying to do justa data logging and nothing.when i hook up the power light comes on but when i hold record for two seconds no busy light or err?

just follow the standalone datalogging demo...it goes through step by step how to do it.

yeah the demo starts out by telling you to connect the port on your vehicle to the inteface then connect to computer, maybe i will borrow laptop

yeah you have to connect to verify the supported parameters...obviously your truck might have different supported parameters then say a duramax 6.6.

ok looks like its working havent had a chance to go out and try it. My laptops fan is not working so heats up. How or can I send my configure file from my laptop to my home computer? when i hook up my mpvi to laptop and click the mpvi data logger my info is there when i try on my home computer no vin of info there.

Correct me if I am wrong Bill, but I think just having the hardware connected and checking the VCM License or VCM Suite Info will take care of that. At least that is how I recall doing it on my home computer.

then you probably havent written a config to the unit more then likely.

Techincally you can write a config not even hooked up to a vehicle, but you have to know what your doing and even then it can be tough.
