Default How much can you get the dealership down on price?

I'm debating between a used 2005 Chevy Duramax and a new 2007 GMC Duramax that's fully loaded. It's stickered at about $46,500. GMC is having a $1000 bonus cash and 0% financing for the next few days so that's why I'm even considering it. I was just wondering how much I could expect to get below MSRP. I really don't want leather and all of the extras, but it's been lifted with 20" wheels and oversized tires from the factory. I planned on doing that anyway so it's nice to have a factory warranty for all of that. And those upgrades are basically free. The price on this truck is the same as just a regular loaded model. I drove around tonight after they were closed and just looked at window stickers so I haven't been able to talk to anyone there yet. I wanted to see what ya'll think I could get them down to before I go in. Thanks!

I payed 12,300 after rebates and incentives for an 06 GMC Sierra 4.8/auto stickered at 19,700 with an invioce of 17,200. It had been on the lot for 8 months though. Just figure out what the invoice is and then go from there.

Go to www.gmbuypower.com, see what the various dealers in your area have in stock and get a few offers via email. I got quotes from several dealers and ended up driving 100 miles and saved $2,000. The key is to know what the dealer pays for the truck; try to deal about $500 over their cost (they get a 3% kick back from GM so even if they sell "at cost" they still make money).

My trucks msrp was $26 somthing dealer invoice was $23 and i payed $20,250. I did build the dealership though but most dealers will make a similar deal. Gm give the dealer 10% or somthing of the msrp of every truck sold so they drop it below but still come out ahead. But for a deal like this I got 4.5 % APRso thats no 0% but the price was good for me just gotta pay it off befor the intrest gets bad
