Default I think I'm having tranny problems...help!

I was out with a buddy tonight and he wanted to see how much better the truck ran with the dyno-tune. I floored it from a stop and spun all over the place and let off for a split second and nailed it again. It was going good until about 5200 then it stayed right at 5200 for about 2 seconds then continued like normal until about 5600 and stayed their for about 2-3 seconds then shifted at about 5800 instead of 6200 like it's supposed to. I tried it again and it did almost the same thing. I haven't done it again, but it sounds like the tranny is slipping to me from what I have read. I hope the hell it isn't. With school and all that, it's gonna be a bitch to have to pull it and send it off to FLT. I'm gonna try it again tomorrow a couple of times to see if it does it again. Part of me is hoping it's something to do with fuel. Because I'm just about on my last gallon or two of gas. What do ya'll think it is. It's really bothering me.

Are you getting any codes? From what you have described it sounds like a tuning issue or a motor issue not a slip. When a trans slips the RPMS will climb very fast with no increase of vehicle speed or a loss of vehicle speed. You said that the trans shifted 5800 instead of 6200 that is not a slip. The trans will shift when commanded not before commanded. This is what happened there. I think that I would get back with my tuner and go from there. Feel free to give Chuck a call if you have any questions. Vince

I think I was just low on fuel. I heard a low whinning sound coming from the fuel tank this morning. Filled her up and haven't had the problem since.
