Default TurboNoma won't go into gear(drive)

I finally got the engine fired up but here is my present situation. If the torque converter were not engaged properly to the trans, will the truck not move when put into gear(drive)? I did pour in a quart of tranny fluid into the converter. Fluid level checks out ok on the dip stick. If the converter were not in all the way, would I hear some sort of noise that would indicate a problem? The bellhousing bolted up flush with the engine block. The engine starts up ok. No indications of the starter having problems turning over the engine. Only other thing I can think of is that I did install a billet servo kit at the same time. PEACE OUT>Tony

sounds like it is low on fluid. if it is a brand new converter it would need more than one quart. keep checking the fluid levels.

Yes it is a brand new Vigilate 3200 rpm stall converter. I'll check the levels again. PEACE OUT>Tony

The servo install is pretty straight forward and I assume you followed the directions. Low fluid level is my first guess too. The bad news id that if you didn't have the converter all the way engaged when you mate the engine and trans you can shove the converter into the front pump of the trans and break it. An easy way to check would be to unhook a trans line and start it for a second it should pump out some fluid if not then uhoh. Good luck

How many quarts of oil should have been added to the converter before installing it? I only added one. The tranny dip stick reads the level to be ok.
I undid the top tranny line on the rad and it's bone dry. No signs of fluid in it. After seeing that, I didn't even bother starting the engine up. What should I do next?

I have a vig 3200 and only used one quart in it as well, thats all i've ever used in a TQ converter. You didn't mess with the manual valve at all when you were installing the servo did you? or the boost valve?

All I did was exchange the factory servo for the new billet unit. I'm beginning to believe that I may have installed the converter incorrectly and damaged the pump. I'll check for other possibilties before dropping the tranny. PEACE OUT>Tony

Default Getting worse

The trans will definately have to come down. I disconnected the cooler line and turned the engine on and no oil flow. Which means the pump is busted and the tc may also be trashed. Who knows what else may have been damaged inside.
This will turn out to be a very expensive leason for me PEACE OUT>Tony

If the torque converter was not seated all the way the pump will be destroyed but the converter itself is most likely fine, as long as it was the correct converter in the first place...
