Thanks! I actually drive this more than my 02! Even tho its a gas hog and gets 9.5-10 mpg,i had some 20's on it but i am selling them. How do you guys think the American racing hopsters would look with color of the truck? I plan on painting it the same color. Its got metallic to it when it is in the sunlight, didnt really like the color at first but it has grown on me.

good lookin truck. hopster was the other style i was lookin at. as far as if they will look good with the color, yes.the right set of wheels will look good on anything, specially on a clean good lookin truck. what size will you get?
these are 17 could of went larger but i was going for the "hot rod" look and i wanted somthing with a fat tire.

Nice. Never been a fan of brown but it looks really good on your truck; I'd definitely roll it. I've always thought the 73-78 were the best looking trucks of the 73-87 era.

Im thinking 15'' to 17'' i gotta have alot of tire! I'll get some video of it up soon,i took it out to our local track for the first time last thursday ran a 9.3@76mph with traction problems(street tires) I plan on goin up to a 3000 stall,3.73 gears and get a set of slicks. Here is a pic of it with the 20's
id go with 17 but its your truck.15 would have more tire options. the nexed performance mod. done to mine is a stall also. have a 2000tci should of gotten a 2500 or 3000 oh well. what trans to you have? after our gear change (3.73 and eaton lsd) i was around 2700rpm at around 55 with a 30in tall tire if i remeber right. i had a smaller tire and had to upgrade. i didnt like crusing at 55 at 3k. built to be a driver not a racer.
by the was mine has a th400.

I like the stock wheels, but that's just my opinion.
I agree with LIL SS, "More older metal.. Good to see it."

TH350 I had it rebuilt when i was rebuilding the motor, with the gear i got now at 55 im turning around 2200,i just want it as fast I can get it.Other than gettin 9.5 to 10 mpg i can drive it everywhere. I had the trans set up for shifting it manual and when you put it in drive it shifts like normal.Im lookin forward to spring so i can get the interior looking nice. Have you ever looked at a LMC truck catalog?,i could spend fortune there!

Thanks.
I think they look good, too--nice, clean and simple. I like the fact that it's actually metal, can have a real dual exhaust, and their pretty simple to work on.
I'm glad to see more of the '86 and older trucks showing up on the forum, because 95 percent of the ones I see around town--well, "Sanford and Son" comes to mind.
