Default Shift kit trouble

I installed the HD2, Sonnax billet 2nd and 4th servos, and new accumulator pistons. When I tried it, I have no reverse, and from what I can tell, barely moves forward. It's on ramps right now, so I really can't try forward. I'm getting smoke from somewhere, looks like its coming from tranny.

Any quick check to make? I'm about to pull the pan and look.

Thanks

boost valve? I've heard of some guys not installing it correctly causing it to rev quite a bit before it would try to move.

As far as the smoke, that's not unusual. You get tranny fluid all over the y-pipe, so a little smoke is normal.

I just read where someone else had trouble with the boost valve. I'll check it first. I was worried because the smoke kinda smells like rubber. I haven't dealt with tranny that much. This is the first thing I've ever done to a tranny besides a filter change.

Thanks for the help.

I installed the same things in my tranny and after a short drive the boost valve popped out and I coulden't pull it out of the garage after. So you may want to check that, or the other thing that many people mentioned to me was the linkage to the valve body.

Make sure that the boost valve is in correctly and the manual valve is connected.

The manual valve was connected. It was the boost valve. I'm working on getting it back in right now.

Thanks for the help.

I'd pay you ten bucks if you would have come over and installed it.

I put two shims in the second gear accumulator, and that with the huge servo makes the 1-2 very firm, 2-3 is pretty firm, and the 4-2 kickdown feels a lot tighter. I drove it about 25-30 miles today.

What would be the effect of leaving the stock boost reg valve in?

Thanks for all the help.
