Default What to do with my tranny?

Guys time is drawing near. My 4L60 only has 28,000 miles on it but I know it's bound to go any day now. I'm thinking of finding a 4L80 out of a wrecked silverado and having it built to perfection. Possibly just having my 4L60 rebuilt when the time comes. What do you think?

Do you plan on going FI?
You should be fine with shift kit and servo, at least for a while.

each one is different. From your sig you dont have a converter. I would think if you didnt have a converter you will probably be ok for a little while. Me personally I would be throwing a converter, shift kit, servos, harden accum piston, and big tranny cooler!

Ok that sounds good. Yeah I did think about the shift kit ,converter and the servo. And I'm positive those would work flawlessly for a good while. But I'm just gonna go ahead and do it right the first time instead throwing money around. My entire drive-train is stock though. So it only starts with the tranny. Plus I do plan to go with a bigger cam, new heads and possibly a blower later this year. I'm just now starting to get into heavy modifications now so I've got a lot to learn. Any advice is well appreciated. And if anyone is going to test and tune Saturday morning in G-Ville me and my cousin will be there. Red 2005 single cab silverado with dark tinted windows and a white 99 single cab with dark tinted windows as well. Both trucks have oem wheels on them. Trying to keep it a sleeper for now.
