ok well some of you may know im building my 370. i have evrythign together except timing set up and new lifters. So what im looking into is the sdpc gm lifters 12499225 i have heard some refer to these as ls7 liftes but it just says gm performance lifters. for the price i am in love with them. but i need something that is going to be similar to stock my cam is anything but big.(216/222 547/587 lift 114+3) so i need to know who has used these and what exactly do i need to have my builder do for them to work flawless.
I am also looking for a new timing set up. The comp adjustable timing chain has caught my eye part # 3153KT i can get it for 170 to my door. I couldnt fins much feedback on it. I am open to other suggestion that arent to much out of the 200 dollar ball park. i need it to fit under the stock timing cover with no spacers.
the other thing i am pondering is using new rocker arms. im looking into somethign maybe 1.75 ( comp 1375-16)to get a wee bit more lift out of my cam. i need to know what size push rods i will need for them to work,. i have comp 7.4 rods already and woul dlike to use them. i need them to also fit under the stock valve covers. i am also open to suggestion on these. the reason id like to not use the stockers is because my engine was so ugly i dont want to use any of the moving parts from it. so any help is appreciated.
