hey everyone i have an 04 4wd silverado with a 5.3 i beat my truck pretty bad and ive noticed the 1st to 2nd shift getting alil sloppy so im tryin to take it easy but this spring itll need a rebuild due to either an sts system or n20 and head an cam so my question is where is the best place to get a tranny for my needs i tow and drive about 800 miles a week and race on the weekend i dont wanna drop like 3 g's for a tranny tryin to keep it under 2 g's or should i buy parts and bring it to a local guy also neone know of a good tranny place in upstate ny or close ? thanx for all ur help

You could get a used 80e and 3/4 ton t-case. I think Parish ran that setup with just a shift kit and servos and he was running tens on it.

witch flt tranny should i be looking at i doubt ill ever have more then ur basic sts kit or something similar next year but i plan on a 125 shot all summer would like to keep it as easy as possible so i want to stick with a 4l60e and maybe a yank 3000tt to go along with it .............ill be riding on 33's and 4.56's next month aswell

level 4 would hold up to the mods you're planning. a level 5 4l65 is even stronger. i also plan on getting a new tranny soon and im not sure which one im going with, ill have to talk to vince. a level 5 is a bit pricey but ive heard its worth it.
