03sierraslt, in racing you can never slack in safety equipment, ive seen people hit that wall and com o ut a lot worse than i did...i was running 3rd and had a flat tire and had to go to the back and at that point i had prolly burned around 10 gallons of fuel and its 22 gallon fuel cell and when i open the cap when i got home the fuel was right at the top the cell was crushed that bad...i wish i had pics of it..if it would have crushed any more it would have found some way to bust open possibly

everything basically behind the seat was trashed..getting the rear end of the car recliped cost me 1200 bucks..those dudes raped me on that..$230 fuel cell and $950 floater rear end..+ all the bracketry..broke both my shocks..ripped the bushings out of the trailing arms..the short panhard bar and 3rd link bar where bent.. quite costly...and this was two weeks after i wrecked my red gmc truck..2nd consussion in two weeks

 

ouch!!!!gotta love dirt track racing ....glad you ok....couldnt you have bought a rolling chassis cheaper then rebuilding that one...

 

just for the cage woulod be close to 2000 bucks because the frame has been cut and shortend 4 inches and the frame has been welded on top and bottom all along the frame..the guy that did had to have a lot of time in it
