This happened twice today and Im not sure if its anything to worry about or what. Both times I went to go in reverse up a slight hill, I really had to push on the gas and the truck would barely move, the tires would actually start to squeal(Im pretty sure it was the tires) anyway its was cold today around -7C plus the windchill, is it possible that something could of just froze up? because after the first few attepts to back up and drove again no problem and tried backing up again and it went in reverse and up the hill no problem.

my blue truck used to do this same thing sometimes when it got real cold, it would make a slight ping noise when i put it in reverse then would do it even less louder when i put it in first. also to a lil gas to move it for some reason... i decided to change the back ujoint and it never did it again, i dunno if these problems are related but it might be worth a shot

I cant say I remeber hearing a pinging. Just put it in reverse and pushed the gas to back up and shed didnt move, pushed it harder she moved some, then I almost put it to the rug and she was moving like a slug and almost seemed liked it started to spin. But then i drove forward a foot or so backed up did the same thing drove forward a foot again backed up and she backed up fine
