View Full Version : Hey SRT-10 STS guys TieRod 10-25-2006, 06:09 PM How do guys like the STS turbo kit? Have you guys found any problems with kit? And has anyone maxed out the t76 turbo? nightrunner 10-25-2006, 06:14 PM ive heard that the sts on the srt10 doesnt add as much power as it does to the gm 1/2 tons TieRod 10-25-2006, 11:30 PM I think getting almost 150hp to tires with just 5 psi is good in my book. You have to remember that trucks with big engines have big trans and rear end that rob allot of power. I just had my truck on the dyno and only gained 150hp with a 200hp hit of nitrous. nightrunner 10-26-2006, 05:46 PM the only reason i said that is the guy on here that has/had a quad cab silver srt10 when some one on here asked about gettin a sts for his dads srt10 he said not to get it if he had not gotten it yet 06__QUAD__SRT10 10-29-2006, 06:21 PM How do guys like the STS turbo kit? Not bad with SRT 10 stock with 500 miles on my 06 quadcab I put down 427 rwhp and 458 rwtq :drive: Venom Power 10-29-2006, 07:10 PM I'm too worried about warranty to be playing with an STS. It doesn't imply I don't agree with it, I would LOVE to install one. But I know I won't. 1fast400 10-29-2006, 10:31 PM Do a search on vtcoa.com quite a few bad experiences with them. If you're serious about putting on power adders I'd contact one of these people depending on location: West Coast: DC Performance South: Roe Racing www.roeracing.com Midwest: Xmetal Lots of ram owners have good experiences with those vendors. Those 3 have done more viper truck stuff than other tuners combined. I'm not saying there aren't other good vendors, cause there are. These are just ones with good feedback ratings that I know of. silverqc 10-31-2006, 11:22 AM just what he said FlyingLow 12-23-2006, 05:52 PM I have the STS. Don't do it. burons1502 12-25-2006, 12:05 AM what tuning are you guys using with the sts. i am now a dealer and looking to install my first srt10 kit. i talked alot with shawn at roe racing and they quit doing the tuning for it because of the tuning was hard to get right for the different areas. i was told to use his vec 3 controller to tune it myself and i should not have any problems. he is in love with the setup of superchargers and has them right on the money. i was wondering why you don't like the sts kit and what was your problems. i know of a couple people that were tired of dynoeing the truck and waiting for the tune and starting all over. any good or bad comments would be appreciated |
