Default Will I be happy?

Im about to order some 3.73's
Then after a few paychecks, a Nelson Tune, and a 25-2600 Stall?

Would it be ok to run 3.73s w/out a tune?

You have 3.42's now I presume?
Yes, you can change gears without tune but speedo will be reading higher than true. I ran like that for break-in.

I think your shifts will be off as well because of the rpm/speed difference. Not enough to really worry about but it may feel funny at first. If you have traction control you will have to turn it off because the computer will think you are spinning the tires and pull timing. I had all those issues when I went from 3.73 to 4.10. Tune took care of it.

I'd get at least 3.90's.

3.42's to 3.73's is minimal, I don't really think you'd tell much difference, I would vote 4.10's........3.90's at the least.
