Default Vette Servo VS Billet Servo

hey guys,

wondering how much difference in firmness between 2nd vette servo vs billet servo. because billet servo has greater amount of holding vs vette!

vette servo suppose to give 30% over our stock servo. then billet servo gives about 20% more than vette servo.

how's the ride between two servo?

Billet does give a firmer shift but the corvette servo is easier on the check book...

A billet servo is the only thing I have done to my tranny, besides the perma cool tranny cooler. Still running strong at almost 100,000 and no issues. I love the way it shifts during normal driving and at WOT.

I went from a vette servo in my last tranny to all billet servo's and the vac mod kit in this one from FLT... I wont ever have another servo in my trannies. I love the way it shifts in EVERY gear...

Billets are ok if you have things setup for them, otherwise they are going to be too harsh and cause problems.

We only use the sonnax servo's. I think the problems most people face is with the second servo from superior. It has no accumulation for the 2-3 shift. Also has no cushion springs for the down shifts. I have also seen the superior servo break it's clips and destroy the case. Along with quite a few bands. I used the superior myself for a few years and saw to many issues. I do prefer the sonnax set because it is designed like the oe vette servo with more holding power along with better sealing capabilty. I really think sonnax did their homework here! Vince.

I have a 4th billet servo from TCI, had hard time putting cover back on with factory o-ring. got it in finally! drives fine fine now solid from 3-4,which i like it!! feels better at high speed.

i'm thinking about putting yank 2600TT or 3000TT, with 2nd piston servo from Sonnax.

I see Sonnax 2nd servo comes with longer pin! would it fit fine with TCI 4th piston cover?????????
how would it drive because my trucks been tuned!
I know it will be firmmer shift from 1-2 and 2-3. hope it will work Well with torque converter.

I see people saying Torque converter will make feel loser? i'm not exactly sure what it mean by loser?

Well loser is like putting a L shape on my forehead....JFWY but really the vertor will make it feel looser in a since when it shifts it will be a easier shift.
If you bark the tires right now on a shift it might not with the vertor.
It almost makes it go from damn thats firm to sweet just right.
