Default wheel/tire combo to add to list...

i just dropped my 20x17 Intro kidney beans and Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R 31x18s on the scale.

came in at 92 lbs each


you know...if some of you have been thinking about this combo or something

yeah...a bit of tubbing...and narrowing the frame, and removing the stock fuel cell, and 4 linking it i also had a ford 9" built w/ 3.89 gears and narrowed to fit them.

here's a pic before i got the rear end put together...



here's the wheels when i got them in (note the beer bottle so you can get a size visual )



the truck and the suspension parts are heading to get built up next weekend.

the real question we're all asking is, will the 25 lb and 1" overall diameter difference be made up for?

i currently run a 14.26@98. that's with a open diff w/ 3.42 gears, leaf springs, and stock steel wheels and tires.

now i'm going to something heavier (but with more traction), posi w/ 3.89 gears, and a wishbone 4 link.

some say i'll go a little faster...other's a little slower. what do yall think? (we'll find out in a few weeks)

expected completion of the suspension and fuel system is Oct 6th. i'm shooting for everything else by heatwave 07.

I really wouldn't know where to begin as for being faster or not. You will definitely have the traction, and I am sure the power is there to turn them over.
