AND I HEARD RIGHT!!!:judge:
I figured I'd get more readers if people thought this was the FIRST bad thread for FLT, well...it isn't!:jest:
I ordered my Level 5/65E and explained it was for my daily driver. I said I needed it asap because my tranny had a blown 2-4 band.
Chuck, Doug, and Vince took care of me FAST. I had the tranny and the wiring harnesses I ordered a week later.
Install went smooth and everything works great. I've been driving it for about a week with Zero problems. Chuck took time to answer all my questions and gave me pointers on the install.
Customer service is a major selling point for me. I will spend more for a product if I feel the service before, during, and after the sell will be better. I have no doubt FLT was the correct company to go with and would highly recommend them to anyone.
Grandpa's theory:

FLT is for those of you that want to do it right the first time.:judge:
Thanks FLT

LOL!
I think the exact way he says it is:
"There's never enough time to do it right but, there's always enough time to do it over"
So how long should I break it in before I do some tire spinning?

Got the 40,000GVW cooler in today*:)
I used to run at 200* Now I cant get over 160* Sweet!
Today was only in the 80's. I'll be interested to see what it does when its 98* again.
*Note:
Installation of a trans cooler requires you to tighten all hose clamps before running the engine. Otherwise you get TRANNY FLUID ON EVERYTHING!!!!:bang:

Heres what mine looks like. Fits right behind the Radix I/C. Its mounted upside down and the hoses are routed funny, I need longer hoses.
Is it possible for you to flip the cooler so the hoses are coming out the bottom? Your hose length would be much shorter then.

I couldnt get it to fit under the hood latch with out having to put 45* or better bends in the hose so I flipped it over. I am going to get a longer hose for the passenger side. In the pic I have it pushed to the left side but it actually runs across the cooler between the Radix I/C and tranny cooler. This was to keep from bending the hose too much. I will make it a cleaner install when I have time. The wife was watching me and tapping her foot becuase we were supposed to be somewhere. I have my priorities:judge:
1. Truck
2. Wife
3. Work

I like having the extra length on the hoses. Hell, I should run about 8 feet of it in loops between the grill and the cooler. That would be good for another QT of tranny fluid:judge:

Still running strong. No issues at all. Runs cool and shifts crisp.
Only 1 or, 2 or, 4 burnouts on the trans so far. Maybe I will get one on film this weekend:)

it sure is nice to not have to worry about something and thats how it is with FLT. you know you are geting the best there is and in the unlikly event there is a problem you know you will get the best help there is to figure it out. chuck and vince are two of the nicest people you will ever meet.
the built 4l80e in my truck has worked flawlessly other than when i broke the stock input shaft. now they sell them with a billit shaft. i have hundreds of runs and thousands of miles in the 800-1000+rwhp range.
did you guys see they mentioned finishline(left off the tranz) in the latest hotrod? they even mentioned my woman, melissa. she is prety excited about it and allready talking about next years dragweek. >> check out page 7 http://www.neufamily.org/images/dragweek%20gallery/

Dropped the tranny today:(
I think the Converter ate my Pump. I was pulling through an intersection at a 4 way stop, going about 5mph or less and it just quit pulling and the rpm's went up. No noise, just no gears. Dropped the tranny after lunch and the pan looked clean. The filter had metal and teflon in it. Not in the pick-up, I had to pull the filter out and pour it out. I poured it over a magnet and got this.
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y260/Baumgardner2051/Tranny004.jpg
Get this, I went to pull the converter to get a look at it and it wouldn't come off the tranny:eek2: It's so chewed up it's locked in there. :barf:
Chuck sent me a crate today. I should get it Tuesday and send the unit back and see what the damage is. I'm pretty sure I'm out a converter and whatever repair costs are on the tranny. Possibly a $110 tranny cooler as well. Have to wait and see how much metal is in there.:bang:
Shipping your tranny both ways $250
Repair your tranny $500
New converter $ 900
Look on the wifes face when I tell her I blew another transmission: Priceless
There are some things money can't buy, for everything else theres divorce papers.
(Just to clarify, this wasn't a transmission failure as far as I can tell. It was a converter shitting metal into a transmission, causing failure)
Oh look, it's beer thirty.:chug:

A mad strong Fuddle 2600:eyes:
I guess it wasnt as good as everyone told me when I bought it. (over a year ago)
Vince and chuck got my tranny cleaned up/repaired and shipped within a week. Pretty impressive considering how busy they are. Chuck came in on Saturday to tear it down so Vince could get to cleaning and rebuilding on Monday. It shipped that afternoon!:eek2: I had already ordered my new converter from them and it arrived while my tranny was in transit to FLT. FLT put MY converter and MY tranny on the dyno, tested and then shipped then together.
Since this is my DD I'm sure I got pushed ahead of some people who were waiting on their non DD units.
I can't begin to speak to how awesome that kind of customer service is. I don't think I've ever dealt with anyone person or company that willing to go the extra mile for a customer. Especially when it wasnt even their product that failed. So in keeping with the deal I made with Vince in jest, I packed 12 green bottles of liquid thanks in the tranny crate when I returned it.:chug:
Enjoy the Becks Vince, you earned them. You can give Chuck one if you want.:)
